This week: practicing gratitude, power tools for success, are prenups really THAT bad??, shopping suggestions for the holidays, advocating for time off from work, and surviving those long flights during your travels this season.

With Thanksgiving behind us, I’m sure we all sat with our loved ones and gave thanks.  But FemmeCents points our further reasons to be grateful in life, including a boost to your health and happiness.  I thought her post was timely as I too had one recently on empowering yourself (Step 3), which talks about incorporating gratitude into your everyday life as a way to recognize all the positives, and then continuing to infuse that which you are grateful for into your everyday life! Its all really connected into a big continuous circle :).  Check out the post by FemmeCents at  Doing this one thing will make you happier than being rich.

There is no such thing as an overnight success.  It takes hours and dedication and continuously working on yourself and your craft.  Anyone waiting for success to happen to them….you’ll be waiting for a while.  Instead, pick yourself up and make yourself successful, using these handy tools by WealthyDoc in his post Ten Powerful Tools for Success.

Prenuptial agreements have a bad connotation.  I’ve heard some people say its like signing the divorce papers before you even get married.  But are they so bad? Women Who Money asks the same question and explains what exactly a prenup entails.  See if its right for you at Do I Need a Prenup.

With the holidays coming up I thought this post by MakingMomentum was pretty timely.  In the post 50 Great Frugal Christmas Gifts Under $50 This Holiday Season, you’ll find all kinds of gift ideas, organized by gift category for your easy viewing.  For some fancier choices, categorized by the type of person you’re buying for, check out The Luxe Strategist‘s post  THE 2018 HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE: 36 GIFT IDEAS THAT WOULD IMPRESS EVEN ME.

An older post, but relevant for this time of year.  For those international flights you’re hopefully taking this holiday season, some tips on enduring those long flights by the TravelDudes at 7 Travel Tips for Long Haul Flights

With the end of the year upon us, and everyone starting to make plans for a new year, I’d like to reshare one of my older posts on taking time off of work.  I think time off is important, either in the form of taking leave, taking a break between jobs or taking vacation.  A break is sometimes necessary to recharge, realign your goals and regain your balance. I’d like to encourage everyone to plan for next year–plan vacations and time off into your year. Because self-care is the best care.  Read more at How Taking Time off Can Help You Regain Control of Your Life.
